Musical Entertainment
Our musical entertainment this evening is provided by Joe Hnath and Patrick Lah, two outstanding musicians who are part of Band Together Pittsburgh. Joe and Patrick are just one example of the success of Band Together Pittsburgh’s programming. After meeting at an open mic over 5 years ago, it was obvious that these two needed to start exploring some duets, and they have flourished ever since! Band Together Pittsburgh didn’t make these young men the musicians they are. God-given talent and hard work have done that. But Band Together Pittsburgh has nurtured their development as entertainers and given them countless opportunities to grow.
Joe Hnath is an actor on stage and screen, a voice actor, and a vocalist. He has appeared in several local and student films, and on stage with Stage Right Theater Company. He has also done background for a couple Netflix shows. Joe has had a passion for music since a very young age and has loved being able to grow as a performer. Some of Joe’s favorite moments as a vocalist have been performing at The Blues and Roots Festival, at the Benedum for A Very Yinzer Christmas, and singing the National Anthem for the Pittsburgh Pirates. Joe also prides himself on being a self-advocate in the autism community and has had the opportunity to speak at Duquesne University and at the Westmoreland Intermediate Unit.
Patrick Lah is an accomplished pianist and vocalist who performs, rock, pop, jazz, oldies and classical music. He has performed at The Benedum Center, PEOPLES Holiday Market in Market Square, the Highmark Amphitheater in Erie, Penn State University, the Next Door Café, Moondogs, The Oaks Theater, the Carnegie of Homestead, Steamworks Creative, and many more venues across the region. Patrick also speaks on the topics of autism awareness and anti-bullying to high school students.
Both of these young men have websites where you can learn more: Joehnath.com & Patricklah.com
